Socail Media

BlogPost_#1

I was in my comfort zone, on the couch, relaxing while my sister got his first iPhone as a surprise. she set-up everything, including some communications media. She then texted me a few minutes later saying "Bless, can you go with me to the mall?"  So, I verbally asked her in a funny way "has the phone taken away your vocal cord?"  And I asked that because she was just sitting on the couch right in front of me and she could have spoken instead of text as a form of easy communication.

Social media has been a vital way of communication in this modern world. As the matter of fact, it is the easiest and fastest medium to get in touch with family members and loved ones around the world. No more pigeon post! for instead, before the birth of computer, mobile phone, and all these modern social networks devices, handwriting letters was the most basic form of communication which usually takes about days, month, and even years to get the information across.   Just think about how long it would take me to get a piece of information across to family members in Africa if those eras happen to be today. terrible. Social media give people the opportunity to share ideas, images, videos and an easy way to get in touch with friends who leaves on the other part of the world as well as make new friends.

Let consider the impacts of social media on politicians for a second. Do you remember Lawton Mainor Chiles, Jr? Well, He was an American politician in the state of Florida, thus, Florida House of representative, and later the 41st Governor of Florida.
When Chiles left the Florida house of representatives, he decided to bid for the United States Senate in 1970, he used to walk 1,003 miles from Pensacola to Key West for his campaign due to his unpopularity and mainly the lack of social media. However,
Politicians today can get their message across the world in a twinkle of an eye.
As a result, comparing those times and the present day 2017, I can confidently state that social media has a massive positive impact on every politician in this country and around the world.

Business companies also uses social media to advertise their products. On each companies website there is a source of communication between the customers and the stuff members that helps the companies advance the quality of their products and how well the customers can be served.

98% of the population in America owns at least one social network account as account as a means of communication. Because communication is a necessity for human survival, and thank goodness for social media.
